Mitch (left, white shirt) and Jay (right, blue shirt) were helping their mother prepare lunch, but when she left to go use the bathroom, the boys thought it would be nice to play in the food. Consequently, they thought spaghetti baseball was the best sport to play. Mitch was throwing the pitch but I'm quite sure that Jay was unaware of the flying spaghetti fast meatball coming right towards his smiling face.

As little Jake (left) is preoccupied with something else, birthday boy, Sean (green shit), and his green pet on his face are too fixed on that nice buttermilk cake. As they get ready to blow out the cake, Jake seems to be getting a fork, but only for himself because he doesn't want to let his brother get the first piece.

Two little boys are exhausted sitting in their car seats waiting for their mother to come back to drive them to school. Although Dean (green jacket) is dissatisfied with his cereal because his mother gave him Jesse's cereal (blue jacket), he is too exhausted and sleepy to put up a fight.

Back To The... Old Days 1984
As many people already know, I'm always on the computer and on my iPod Touch. I text a lot too. This day was not really as bad as I thought it would be because all I did was go to the DMV, then I was off to the gym to work out and play basketball. Communication was difficult because I was suppose to use my phone. So I ended up having to tell my mom exactly everything I was doing before I left the house so I wouldn't have to keep going home then back to the gym then back home again. I actually read the news from the newspaper! They still have those?! Entertainment was very hard. I'm good at meeting new people, starting a conversation and making new friends. So for entertainment I ended meeting some people that were in the
gym and just having small talk, regular conversations, and it turned out to be a pretty interesting conversation. The most difficult things that I had to give were my Ipod Touch and my cellphone. These were the most difficult ones because they were the two things I'm on the most. When I was working out I didn't have my own music that was a bit of a struggle, and I wasn't going to bring a 3 foot long boombox with me! The least struggle for me to give that day, was the television. For me, if it isn't in color, most of the time I won't watch it, but there are somethings that I would watch though. But I was mostly out of the house, like back in the '90s when you use to see all of the little kids outside running around and playing. There were some surprises for though. A few surprises were that I actually followed through with this Back To 1983 assignment. That I didn't try and sneak and watch some t.v. and say I didn't watch t.v. at all, even though that temptation was strong. Also that I got a chance to remember how fun it was to go outside and shoot around and lift weights with friends. But theres one thing that isn't a surprise for me, and it's that I know I won't be doing this again any time soon, well at least not without my music.

Cooking from Scratch may take more of your time but it’s significantly healthier than eating out at fast food places. Even though it’s cheaper and easier to buy food that’s less expensive that’s processed or pre-cooked isn’t good for you. Making the sacrifice to eating healthier foods is beneficial as you age.Eating processed and pre-cooked foods develops bad and unhealthy eating habits.
San Diego is known for its fast food places. McDonald’s is one of the fastest growing fast food restaurants not only in San Diego but the world. Everywhere you go in San Diego, there is a fast food place there.

Supplemental Information
- 2008 Food Riots break out in Haiti
- http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/apr/09/11
- The author's arguement is that if nothing takes action in helping Haiti, then it's not going to progress at all. The author's interest appears to be for helping Haiti with their food crisis.
What was the main idea of the article; in other words what was the author's point?
- I think that the author's point in the article was made pretty clear in the beginning when thee so called "Peacemakers" shoot rubber bullets and used tear gas to "control" rioting mobs because of food prices. Also, that even though there are people there in Haiti suppose to be keeping peace there, no peace is resulting from them being there.
What was the author's bias? Has the author included facts from all sides of the issue?
- The author was clearly biased, because although the author may have included a fact from the other side, I could tell that they were more about how much worse Haiti is going to get and how the Haitians feel since they're hungry rather that the opposite.
What questions do you still have after reading these articles?
- Why hasn't the President came out yet and said a word about anything
- An average of about 13 % of disposable income on food is spent by U.S. consumers.
